- Agitation Free "Last" TEMP OUT(This was a posthumous live release of 1973 material that was originally issued in the mid 1970's. For my money, this was their best 1970's - released album, as they really stretched out here, with beautiful soaring guitar leads on top of a solid rhythm section, along with the wild card of Hoenig's electronics. A great album)
- Agitation Free "At The Cliffs Of The River Rhine" $19.99 (A fantastic legitimate release from the master tapes of a famous 40' German radio broadcast from 2/2/74. - Alvarius B "s/t" $17.99 (Sun City Girls guy solo album)
- Ahleuchatistas "What You Will" $13.99(Third and best yet from this amazing instrumental, post-Beefheart, avant-technical, improv-core, math-metal, art-damage, punk-rock power trio from Asheville, NC. Using the simple and classic skeleton of guitar, bass and drums, these three make powerful music that is undeniably 'rock' but is also undeniably much wider in musical influences than what one would imagine in such rock-based work. For example, the opening song is Remember Rumsfeld at Abu Ghraib; of course we all know what that title is in reference to, but, huge Charles Mingus fan that I am, I also immediately caught the reference to Charles' great work, Remember Rockefeller at Attica, which is not a reference I would expect from a rock band. But then, these guys are the most technically adept 'punk' band you will ever hear; they have chops growing on their chops, so surprises are to be expected! The playing from everyone is beyond powerful and while the term "Beefheartian" gets bandied about way too much, the complexity and directness of the playing here really does bear some comparisons. Their music has been developed over playing tons of shows and the sound on the CD reflects this with a very well recorded, but not so "produced", live feeling sound. If they come to your town, go see them. Having said that, if you can't see them live, this CD comes with 3 short, nicely shot QuickTime movies which you can watch on your Mac or PC, so you can see just what you are missing. [Cuneiform])

- Amon Düül II "Made in Germany" $18.99 (complete double LP on 1 CD)
- Amon Düül II "Phallus Dei" $16.99
- Amon Düül II "Tanz Der Lemminge" $17.99 (5*! "The Munich music commune Amon Duul is rated as one of the most important pioneers of German rock history." Fantastic new issue on Repertoire with improved sound, liner notes and rare photos. Filled with wild improvisations, pulsing, psychedelic guitars, primitive electronics, drugged vocals (and drugs in general), all combined with great ideas and songs, this is a stone(d) classic of the early German progressive underground. How do you follow up a great, insane double like Yeti? With this, their 3rd, and also originally a double album (released in US & UK under the English title "Dance Of The Lemmings"). This is my favorite of all their albums; it's not better, less or more crazy, but I just love it a bit more! Personally recommended. The original double lp used to open up into a big gatefold of the control center of a space ship, looking out into the black void! Billy Swann of The Muffins had it thumbtacked to his door for many years; abandon hope, all ye who enter! [Repertoire])
- Amon Düül II "Vive La Trance" $17.99
- Amon Düül II "Wolf City" $17.99
- Amon Düül II "Yeti" $17.99 (The Munich music commune Amon Duul is rated as one of the most important pioneers of German rock history." Fantastic new issues on Repertoire with improved sound, liner notes and rare photos. Filled with wild improvisations, pulsing guitars, primitive electronics, drugged vocals (and drugs in general), this is a stone(d) classic of the early German underground (hard to believe that this wild slab originally came out in 1970).How do you follow up a great, insane debut like Phallus Dei? With something even crazier! This, their 2nd, was originally a double; it all fits on this nice CD and even includes both sides of their contemporary, non lp 7" as bonus tracks. On on the cover? Their bongo player, Shrat, dressed as death (or as Jeff Beck with a scythe); Shrat is (in)famous for dying of a LSD overdose, something that isn't supposed to be able to be done... [Repertoire])

Anglagärd emerged in late 1992 fully formed with this brilliant album, and it quite literally changed the progressive rock world, showing that bands could create new music that was as good as the 'greats of the 70's'. Classic style symphonic progressive performed on guitars, bass/bass pedals, piano/ organ/mellotron, flute, drums & a smattering of vocals. Fantastic!) TEMP OUT

- Apryl Fool "s/t" $19.99 (Japanese import classic psyche)
- Arachnoid "s/t" TEMP OUT ("Arachnoid's only album is an amazing opus from 1978 that combined the strengths of other French symphonic groups like Shylock and Ange into a darkly futuristic and aggressive blend. Another frequent comparison made to Arachnoid is King Crimson, and the band is definitely influenced by that group's mid-period albums. Digital synths seem to abound, in tandem with traditional "prog" instruments like mellotron and organ, though their presence does not detract at all, but are used appropriately to create a distinct nightmarish technological atmosphere. Vocals are carried out in a style that is rather similar to that of Christian DeCamps from Ange, often harsh but ultimately very effective. Layers of keyboard melodies are backed by towering mellotron and distorted, churning guitar rhythms. The band drifts into angular dissonant territories occasionally, but for the most part keeps things darkly haunting and beautiful, yet with an omnipresent aggressive edge. Overall, this could be the finest symphonic album I've heard out of France yet. Visionary and perfectly executed. A classic slice of dark progressive for sure. If you love Pulsar (as I do), prime Ange or the first track on Shylock's Il De Fievre, definitely grab this puppy."-Greg Northrup/The Giant Progweed. Includes 4 bonus tracks. [Musea])
- Aranos, Mueller, Rosenau "Bleeding in Behind Pastel Screens" $15.99
- Arbete & Fritid + Rolf Lundqvist "s/t" $19.99 (One of the smallest and most introverted prog albums from the early 1970s. Short poems arranged with the dose of fantasy that only A&F are capable of. Soft whispering songs mixed up with stonerfuzzy epic doom parts like Heavy Eddy. The CD is housed in a nice digipak with booklet. The album includes the classic line-up: Bosse Skoglund // Tord Bengtsson // Ove Karlsson // Roland Keijser // Torsten Eckerman and the strange poet Rolf Lundqvist. "Rolf Lundqvist was studying at secondary school in Falun, northern Sweden, when he first came into contact with Arbete & Fritid and Ove Karlson. On Christmas day of that year, they met up and made their first recordings together. The songs from the resulting demo are to be found on this CD. During this period, members of Arbete & Fritid came and went, but by New Year's Eve of 1971 their lineup was complete; Roland Keijser, Torsten Eckerman, Bosse Skoglund, Tord Bengtsson and Ove Karlsson. The new band's first undertaking was to record with Rolf Lundqvist, which they did in Vaxholm, just outside Stockholm, in January of 1972. Christened Slottbergets Hambo & Andra Valser, the resulting album was released in April the same year. Rolf Lundqvist debuts as a poet with this album, singing and reciting his long texts; sometimes alarming yet ingenious comments on reality, often displaying disdain towards the falsity of today's way of life. Arbete & Fritid give the poetry a suitable audio backdrop ranging in styles from waltz, jazz and tango to folk and rock music. A bonus track is provided in the form of a newly-penned song by Roffe, linking back to his texts from the '70s." )

- Arkkon "Rotunda" $13.99 (consists of 6 darkly filmic electronic soundscapes, ranging from the John Barry meets Popol Vuh ambient crossfades of track 1, to the Ligeti-esque tone clusters of track 6.)
- Art Bears "Art Box" $89.99 (6 x CD box The Art Box marks the 25th anniversary of one of the most eclectic, dynamic and productive creative alliances in the history of experimental music. Featuring legendary composer Fred Frith, groundbreaking percussionist Chris Cutler & vocalist Dagmar Krause, this assembly of genius has made what CMJ termed an "incalculable" contribution to the post-context art-rock scene. To mark the 25th Anniversary of the Art Bears we will be releasing a 6 CD box containing: The three original releases, properly re-mastered...Art Bears Revisited -A double CD of re-mixes, re-workings and (mostly) new pieces made from the Art Bears multi-track masters by The Residents, John Oswald, Fred Frith, Christian Marclay, Jon Rose, Bob Drake (and many others). 6 years in the making, this is an amazing catalogue of imagination and great music. - Art Bears "Hopes and Fears" $17.99 (Re-iss of the prog classic w/3 bonus trax. Cutler/Frith/Krause & Co.)TEMP OUT
- Art Bears "Winter Songs" $17.99 (Digi-pack and remastered excellently by Bob Drake, this was the 2nd and best known album by the successor band to Henry Cow, as it was released in the States by The Residents' Ralph label, in the early 80's and at the peak of their market influence at that time. With Dagmar Krause-vocals, Chris Cutler-drums, electronics & Fred Frith-guitars, keyboards, violin, etc. + all the rest of Henry Cow. Songs with powerful lyrics built upon experimental kernels. This is many folks' favorite of their three. "Wintersongs...offers an even stronger, clearer set of artistic visions. Here the trio of ART BEARS stand alone, and the stripped- down sense of instrumentation, which almost resembles a standard combo (guitar, bass, piano, drums and singing), makes a simpler (though more poignant) musical statement. Often Fred Frith's penchant for angular melodies is forestalled, and re- placed with single note, "non-melodies" in a sort of minimalist, rhythmic accordance to the text's settings. Experimental studio work and effects abound, yet the sound is more economical and hard-hitting than the band's earlier work." [ReR)
- Art Bears "World As It Is Today" $17.99 (Digi-pack and remastered excellently by Bob Drake, this was the 3rd and final album by the successor band to Henry Cow. I'm not really sure why (short playing length? the press had gone onto other things to champion? it wasn't released stateside, unlike the first two?) but this one slipped under the radar of a lot of folks, compared to their 1st two. It's a very bleak, but also a very solid work. And very clever and sly in its own way - who else would have the opening lyrics for "The Song Of Investment Capitol Overseas be: "Out of town; my work takes me out of town"! With Dagmar Krause-vocals, Chris Cutler-drums, electronics & Fred Frith-guitars, keyboards, violin, etc. Songs with powerful lyrics built upon experimental kernels. "A scathing, brutal and disturbingly honest venture into the horrors of contemporary inhumanity and political digression. Here Art Bears forage even more boldly into aspects of using the recording studio as a compositional instrument : A tape of a lawnmower is slowed down several steps to convincingly create the sounds of machine-gun fire and bombs. A Geiger counter is emulated by radically E.Q.ing drum sticks played on a tile flooring in the studio. No punches are pulled, and the band goes all-out on this, their final recording. The playing is aggressive and hefty, and the sound immaculate, intense and, at times, downright scary." [ReR])

- Berrocal, Jacques "Paralleles" TEMP OUT("Jacques Berrocal has been very active since the beginning of the 1970s. No one in France could mix jazz, improvisation, rock'n'roll, punk, no wave, spoken words and industrial music like him. He also had a central position in the creation of d'Avantage, a collective record label that issued some of the most particular sessions of the mid-late Seventies. At the same time he was working on never ending sessions for records that were never issued. Jac and his band were the Apostles of the non-urgency, enjoying recording in unusual situations, with no rules, improvising on undefined structures or using non-musical material mixed with ethnic instrumental solos. In 1976 d'Avantage issued a wonderful record LP titled Parallèles featuring, among the others, Bernard Vitet, Roger Ferlet, Pierre Bastien, Michel Potage, Daniel Deshays, with the intervention of Vince Taylor, the dark diamond of rock'n'roll who inspired David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. Just a couple of years later Berrocal collaborated with Steven Stapleton to create the first Nurse with Would record LP. Parallèles features very different styles; acoustic solo and duo for trombone and cornet as well as a large ensemble 25 minutes long piece dedicated to the Futurist Russolo (again, two years later, Mr.Stapleton dedicated his first NWW record to the same Italian artist). Also to mention are 'Post-Card', recorded in a Pigsty in 1976, and the legendary 'Rock'n'roll Station', a mini-concert for voice (Vince Taylor), double bass (Roger Ferlet) and bicycle (Jac Berrocal). The remastered CD also includes five previously unreleased tracks that were actually left out of the original record: 'Villa Povera Naturale' (1972) is a short piece for pocket trumpet and various concrete elements; 'Occupè' by Michel Potage is an excerpt taken from an LP that d'Avantage never issued; 'Shorten' and 'Lisylis Pavillon' are the first experiments using electronics and 'Cryptea IV', taken from the sessions of the early Futura LP. Thirty years later Jacques Berrocal is still there, where nothing is waiting for him, totally outside the rules, out of fashion thus indémodable. A digipack CD edition including a folded insert with very nice original photos and scores.")

- Birge/Gorge/Shiroc "Defense De" $37.99 (CD/DVD set- First ever reissue of this cult album from 1975, on the famous Nurse With Wound list! Defense De was their first album, before founding Un Drame Musical Instantane, in 1976, with Bernard Vitet. Two bonus tracks were intended to be index 2 and 4 before Birge and Gorge met Shiroc a few weeks later. These two tracks were replaced with new tracks recorded with Shiroc and so they were forgotten until today. The four initial pieces were recorded in the family apartment of Sebastien Bernard, a free jazz producer, where his father kept a lot of beautiful instruments (a pipe organ, an electric piano, a xylophone, a cello, etc.) and a 8-track tape recorder. Antoine Duvernet, another schoolmate who was playing with Urban Sax at that time, passed by on a sunny afternoon and added the tenor sax parts. The two new pieces with Shiroc and Bucchi were recorded live in studio four months later. During the following year, Birge and Gorge played a lot of concerts as a trio with Shiroc, and sometimes as a quartet with Gilles Rollet (also on percussion). All their repertoire was recorded and is included on the DVD as 'June Sessions' (over 6 hours of music). The audio CD includes the complete Defense De lp plus 4 bonus tracks (approx 80 minutes of music in total). The DVD includes the experimental movie La Nuit Du Phoque made by Jean-Jacques Birge and Bernard Mollerat in 1974. The movie is a mix between avant-garde French movie and experimental ambience which takes the viewer back in time to 1974. Total of about 7 hours of music and 40 minutes movie in a double CD & DVD set)

- Coleclough, Jonathan "Low Ground" $19.99 (Potter (Nurse With Wound) & Jonathan Coleclough (solo albums Windlass, Cake, Period, Minya &, With Andrew Chalk, Sumac). The 74 minute album contains 2 solo & 3 duo tracks. Potter's 'Sinister Dexter' is a long electronic piece that increases in density before morphing into a peculiar procession of
mysterious travellers. Coleclough's 'Tunnel' is constructed entirely from field recordings processed to sound like huge droning gongs or horns to accompany a journey along a dark underground canal. The third track is a live recording by the duo, which is perfectly described by It's title, 'Shudder'. The two remaining tracks, 'Beech Flutter' & 'Beech Shadow' are also duo pieces, with each partner providing a mix, both offering a completely different perspective. The sounds of the forest joins with a metallic string section. Peace reigns supreme.)

- Comus "First Utterance" $16.99 (Delayed reissue of the first Comus album, originally issued in 1971. Includes the three tracks from the "Diana" single on Dawn. "Comus' first album contains an imaginative if elusive brand of experimental folk-rock, with a tense and sometimes distressed vibe. Although there are elements of traditional British folk music, there's an edginess to the songwriting and arrangements that would be entirely alien in a Fairport Convention or Pentangle disc. At times, this straddles the border between folk-rock and the kind of songs you'd expect to be sung at a witches' brew fest, the haunting supernatural atmosphere enhanced by bursts of what sound like a theramin-like violin, hand drums, flute, oboe, ghostly female backup vocals, and detours into almost tribal rhythms.")

This special compilation takes us on a whirlwind tour of fifteen of his most productive years (1987- 2002), capturing both live and studio performances from around the world. Featuring a seductive work for chorus and ensemble, an incredible piece for eleven of the world's largest and loudest musical instruments (shiphorns), an electroacoustic tribute to John Cage using the sound of his laughter and the purring of Merce Cunningham's cat and much, much more. This long overdue release will surely confirm Alvin Curran as one of America's most courageous and outrageous musical mavericks)

These compositions are an offshoot of the daily soundscape programme I ran for Resonance FM radio between July 2001-2002, which consisted of commissioned real-time recordings made all around the world between 23.30 and midnight GMT (the time of the broadcast)-. This CD begins with material from these broadcasts confecting, as it were, two composites of the Earth and a few of its inhabitants, somewhat analogous to what an impossible satellite ear with pinpoint acuity might hear in transit - plus one ear-cleaning stretch between them, taken from a single hear-point. I have tried to make these pieces both open and to work on parallel levels: not only do they have their own narrative and aesthetic qualities, but I hope they also offer a meditation on listening and not listening, interpretation and structure, chance and microphonics. The list of ears around the world who supplied basic material is too long to print here, but it includes many names familiar from these catalogues, and many from the still young soundscape and phonograpic community. Full details of people and places are given in the booklet, along with artwork and thorough notes. You have to trust me on this, it’s a really engaging record...")

- Hillage, Steve "L" $13.99 (This was Hillage's 2nd solo album and his first after leaving Gong. There was a big push to make him a prog rock star with this album; the album was produced by Todd Rundgren and the band is basically Hillage, Miquette Giraudy, Don Cherry (!!!) and Utopia (Roger Powell, John Wilcox, Kasim Sulton) plus a couple more guests. This has his 'Hillage-fied versions of Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man and George Harrison's It's All Too Much, among others. I still remember a great interview I heard on the radio around the time this came out: "Steve, tell us the concept of 'L' and what it's all about." - Hoorn, Niels Van "Colours" $12.99 (5 Star! Great Solo from LPD's Horn Player. In the middle of 2001, Legendary Pink Dots Saxist Niels van Hoorn received a friendly email from Ryan Moore (Twilight Circus Dub Sound System / Legendary Pink Dots) offering assistance with his new solo album. He promised "no stress, just fun!" And that is exactly what happened. Moore ended up playing drums and congas, which were looped and later employed for multi-track recordings. Van Hoorn's experiments with a Boomerang Phrase sampler resulted in the first sax loop on the album, which were mixed live with effects to a 2-track tape. For the most part, Van Hoorn placed himself in the middle of his studio, encircled by his collection of saxes, clarinets, flutes, analogue windsynths and keyboards, and would walk around to each, improvising. Everything was then recorded by Moore and passed through his "effects kitchen" for some sonic baking. And voila! "Colours" came into being. Both Niels and Ryan hope you enjoy listening to it as much as they enjoyed producing it. AWESOME!))

- Hopper, Hugh/Lisa Klossner "Different" $18.99 (Soft Machine's Hugh Hopper w/Lisa S. Klossner and an appearance from Elton Dean! Import relesed after the amazing "Delta Flora" disc, this disc is very similar in sound and feel. Highly Recommended!)
- Horist, Bill & KK. Null "Interstellar Chemistry" $9.99 CD (VERY SONIC! It's like this: Null provided sonic source material which Horist then organised, manipulated and added on to. So what happened? Scrumptious musical confectionaries with surprise flavour centers! Much of it is like IDM with the boring removed. More deep and less bleep. The drum machinations pound out strains reminiscent of Ikue More (ala Death Praxis) or latter day Bruce Gilbert with a bit of controlled early Nurse With Wound wail thrown in as if this amalgamation were the soundtrack to an old Atari video game (see also Haruomi Hosono). And then comes the second track! Horists' guitar techniques are exciting, weird, rhythmic, Harry Partch-like (track 4 'Luminous Lullaby'), indescribable, explosive, ugly and beautiful. And just when it gets nuts, a melancholy paean to Boards Of Canada cuts through the noisy silt to round the experience out. Tietchensian insect jitters skitter throughout the tracks, no two of which can be said to be quite the same. And this is the wonder of the whole thing; Bill has crafted a cohesive statement out of all these musical explorations which, in many ways, smells of the tectonics of "OG" electro-experimental records of the early 80's and late 70's.)

This is the band's umpteenth record and they really stretch out on this record and unfurl. You can hear their patented brand of lethargo Flipper-isms as if from a tunnel down. "Kayo Dot follow up their much-heralded 2003 debut (on John Zorn's Tzadik label) with their Robotic Empire debut, "Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue". These five tracks (spanning 60+ minutes) delve into the myriad depths that heavy music can attain, but reach far beyond into the vast realms of ambience. This isn't typical track-by-track genre-bending as much as it is a complete orchestral work, calling upon elements of jazz, metal, noise, and ambience to guide you through their haunting sonic landscapes and picturesque movements. Often bleak and at times quite unsettling, Kayo Dot further amazes by dismissing conventional structures in the styles they have already mastered, looking forward and taking extreme music to places it's only imagined possible." - Kuti, Fela "Zombie" $11.99 ( Fela is one of *the* most important musicians from Africa. From Nigeria, he pioneered a hypnotic, early form of Afro-beat in the 70's that used driving percussion, jazz influences, funk influences from James Brown and hypnotic and interlocking rhythms and musical figures performed by a huge band, all behind very pointed & often politicized lyrics. He was insanely popular in his homeland of Nigeria and this album, with his comparison of the soldiers of the military regime to zombies "who no think unless you tell them to think" raised the ire of the government who attacked his compound, fatally injuring his mother and leading to his first of many arrests. I'm proud to say that I was aware of his work early enough to have seen him twice and he was always amazing, even though I saw a later version of the band who weren't as good as they are here! As Robert Wyatt said once, "Fela is my favorite arranger. He's only got one arrangement, but it's so good, it doesn't matter." Well worth a listen if you don't already know his work. [Celluloid)
- Kyrgyz "s/t" $11.99 ("Kyrgyz is a name that will be unfamiliar to most, but the band's members read like an all-star team of Bay Area improvisers. This quartet consists of Tom Carter (Charalambides), Loren Chasse (The Blithe Sons, Thuja, etc), Christine Boepple (Skygreen Leopards Skyband), and Robert Horton (Broken Mask, Infinite Article, etc). Kyrgyz's debut album is 60 minutes of droned-out bliss. With its roots firmly planted in trance-inducing soil, the six songs here stretch their branches toward the sun. When four artists of this calibre come together in a single setting, the expectations are high. There is tension to spare. But Kyrgyz is such a perfect blend of all their talents that it never implodes beneath the pressure. Horton is the hand that guides this mix of heavy, hypnotic drones, a thicket of acoustic scrawl, and even free jazz skronk. Each sound is carefully chosen and blended together magically. There are equal elements of Charalambides and Jewelled Antler throughout Kyrgyz, but again it is Horton that upsets the balance to create something completely new. In the end, this is nothing short of brilliant." )
- L "Holy Letters" $13.99 (Recorded in 1989 and 1990, Hiroyuki Usui's barely circulated masterpiece of deeply felt self-expression beautifully captures the spirit and substance of a half-dozen key sub-underground pillars of sound. Working with guitar, vocals, vibes, harmonium, bass, drums, cello, field recordings, digeridoo, and more, Usui blends delicate folk, psychedelia, and experimental sounds into a mostly subdued but undeniably glowing suite. The layered but careful instrumentation on the epic title track and 'Troll' backs the alternately plain-spoken and crooning vocals perfectly. Odd touches like snatches of throat singing and bowed vibraphone leap out of the mix at just the right time. There are overt references to the blues (the first track is an oblique cover of 'Cold Was The Ground') -- but other than the occasional slide guitar touch, the connection is overwhelmingly in the timeless feeling and atmosphere. For anyone who's into Richard Youngs, Popol Vuh, Six Organs of Admittance, Tim Buckley, acid-folk, or Japanese underground, this is an essential purchase. VHF's reissue includes the entire CD and seven-inch from the original package, plus a tenminute bonus track from the original sessions.)

- Lariviere, Regis Renouard "Futaie Tchernoziom" $12.99 (Debut INA GRM CD by this young French composer, featuring 2 works: "Futaie" (1996) & "Tchernoziom" (1998). 33 minutes of music, released as part of INA's cheaper short-length CD series. "'Futaie' unfolds in time like a long, slow sentence in which only the punctuation remains. 'Futaie' is composed of immobile masses and lightning flashes that oppose one another making the piece a fleeting moment that has been hollowed out, widened and extended. A succession of temporal occurrences convey the feeling of dual time, of a 'common presence' of events the duration of which is both individual and joint, similar to the way in which trees form a forest. 'Tchernoziom' is the continuation and amplification of work on the tremor of sound sketched out in the central section of 'Futaie'. It is a study on effusive sound material that is both undeveloped and renewed. The grain of which constantly suggests possible interruption. The result is one of fleeting ideas and precarious stability of the overall structure. 'Tchernoziom means 'black soil' and refers to the lands in the Ukraine that are renowned for being extremely fertile." )

- Legendary Pink Dots "9 Lives to Wonder" $14.99
- Legendary Pink Dots "All the King's Horses" $14.99 ("I never liked discussing my own lyrics. In the early days of the Pink Dots, I steadfastly refused to include lyric sheets with the albums, in the belief that a listener cannot enjoy or enter a piece of music if she or he is reading and listening at the same time. However, when those lyrics began to be transcribed poorly and sometimes misinterpreted, understandably, by the people who bought the albums, I was forced to relent. I began writing the words for "All the King's Horses" and sister album, "All the King's Men" (on ROIR), early in 2001 with The Unlikely Event. The piece outlined a scenario which could occur in a society increasingly obsessed with technology. A plane is about to crash and one of the unfortunate passengers feels the need to phone his wife on his mobile, only to
