Austin Caustic

Austin, every bit of a man as David Lee Roth, hosts the third Monday of the month. He is an obsessive record and book collector. He has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1985, when he started co-hosting the now legendary "Funhouse" show with Chuck Roast on KPFT. As a founding member of the experimental band Turmoil In The Toybox, Austin and Chuck helped spread audio terror and annoying / repulsive stage antics throughout eastern Texas, eliciting bizarre fan mail and death threats. Once Turmoil went thud, Austin continued to make noise with a number of different individuals, including C-Dog and Carol of Rotten Piece. His current noise project is Concrete Violin, a solo venture recorded mainly at Misery City Studios, which has produced several CDRs and a number of annoying live performances. Mr. Caustic's forays into print media include co-editing and contributing writing and art to several fanzines, including Sicko, United Underground and Diet of Worms.
